It was just last night in my friend’s car , on a cool rainy night that I was listening to the powerfully riveting song of Riders on the Storm from The Doors. I was emulating Ray Manzarek’s authentic keyboard playing with my fingers while we drove down a harshly lit street that was narrow and encompassed by rustic houses and  large tree’s. It saddens me to hear that Ray Manzarek, a man who met Jim  and help put together the band , died last night of cancer at the ripe age of 74.

Here’s a hommage to Ray’s innovative use of the keyboard  which solidified The Door’s talents as a powerful ensemble:
